Catharine Fahie
Registered Counselling Therapist Candidate
Catharine Fahie is a Registered Counselling Therapist Candidate who works with adolescents and adults navigating trauma recovery, relationship challenges, and the emotional impacts of anxiety, grief, and everyday stress.
Catharine holds a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, a Bachelor of Community Development from Acadia University, and a diploma in Social Services from Nova Scotia Community College. She has over eight years of experience in social services and community-based programming, supporting adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, daily stressors, and the effects of trauma.
Her approach is warm, collaborative, and client-centered, creating a space where people feel seen, safe, and supported as they explore their experiences at their own pace. Catharine works from an integrative, holistic lens and is trained in both Somatic Experiencing and Emotion-Focused Therapy. She also incorporates a mind-body approach, supported by her 200-hour yoga teacher training, and has experience facilitating groups that combine discussion, movement, and mindfulness to foster connection and well-being.
At the heart of Catharine’s work is a belief that each person has an innate capacity for growth and healing. She is honoured to walk alongside clients in their healing and growth. Outside of her work she enjoys spending time in nature, reading, writing, and attending yoga classes.
