Catharine Fahie
Registered Counselling Therapist Candidate

Catharine Fahie (she/her) is a Registered Counselling Therapist Candidate with a Master’s in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. She also holds a Bachelor of Community Development from Acadia University and a diploma in Social Services from Nova Scotia Community College.

Catharine has over eight years of experience in social services and community-based programming, including work supporting adolescents and adults in emergency housing. Her background includes supporting individuals impacted by trauma, addictions, sexual exploitation and trafficking, and other challenges affecting mental health and safety.

Her work is grounded in a strong belief in each person’s innate capacity for growth and healing. Catharine takes an integrative, mind-body approach in therapy informed by Compassion-Focused Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and mindfulness-based practices. She also holds a 200-hour yoga teaching certificate and has facilitated community groups integrating discussion, movement, and mindfulness to support connection and well-being.

Catharine is deeply committed to creating inclusive, heart-centred spaces where clients feel supported, empowered, and understood. She is honoured to support individuals as they explore their experiences and navigate their unique healing journeys. Outside of her work, she enjoys spending time in nature, reading, writing, and attending yoga classes.
