Joanna Lockhart
Graduate Student
With nearly 20 years as a Nova Scotia paramedic, Joanna has had an active role in taking care of those in her community and has the unique lens of a frontline healthcare worker. Her interests also include supporting people living with trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, addiction, and helping to foster overall mental health and wellness.
Joanna is currently completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. Working within a client-centered, strength-based, and collaborative approach, she focuses on helping her clients feel safe and comfortable, empowered and capable.
Joanna’s creative side extends to her love of art, painting, and jewelry design. Some of her favorite things to do involve spending time by the ocean and exploring nature, gardening, cooking, fitness, and yoga.
