FEES & PRACTICES

Seagram & Associates offers mental health assessments and counseling on a fee-for-service model. Our fees are often covered by private health insurance such as Blue Cross or Sun Life, or through many Employment Assistance Programs.

We prefer for our clients to pay us directly and seek reimbursement from their insurer. If this poses a problem for you, please talk to us about it and we may be able to work out an alternative arrangement. In the case of EAP referrals, we take care of the billing.

How do I know if my insurance/EAP program covers your fees?
Before you come to see us, we encourage you to review your policy, or contact your provider to find out whether psychological assessments and treatments are covered. You can also request that Seagram & Associates practitioners be added to your insurer’s list of approved suppliers.

How much does it cost?
The hourly rate for our services is $175. We are HST exempt. A sliding fee scale is available for clients who may not have the financial resources to seek treatment. Please contact us to discuss.

Fees for Missed Appointments or Appointments Canceled Without Sufficient Notice
If you need to cancel or change an appointment, please allow us 24-hours’ notice so that we may fill time reserved for you with someone from our waiting list. We allow one “missed” appointment without charge, since we understand that sometimes we are all human and make mistakes. Payment for additional missed sessions becomes the responsibility of the client.
